i got it!
Handed over to Leo Laporte of the TWiT show
Just got the camera #394. I'm starting the roll here in Petaluma, CA USA and I'll pass it along!
Received by Terri in Marysville, OH
I am Terri M, a geology professor at The Ohio State University. I live near Marysville, Ohio. The camera was mailed to me by Leo Laporte who is in Petaluma, California. I plan to take the camera into Marysville, Ohio today and take a picture of the Union County Courthouse. I'll then take it to Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and take a picture or two on the campus of The Ohio State University. I am planning to give the camera to a colleague of mine in the School of Earth Sciences who is going to be leaving soon to do fieldwork in Antarctica. Best wishes for a successful journey for this camera.
Found at McMurdo Research Base, Ross Island, Antarctica, and heading on to New Zealand.
Greetings!! I'm Allie and I am the electronics technician at the Crary Science & Engineering Center in McMurdo Research Base which is located on Ross Island, Antarctica. I received the camera from Teri McLain, the Lab Manager of Crary. So far there are 32 photos on the camera. I am leaving Antarctica in just 12 days for New Zealand and will take the camera along before passing it along. As an avid photographer I want to say I think this project is very cool and wish you the best in its completion!
More information on Camera 394's journey
I just got an email from my colleague in geology who carried this camera to Antarctica. It contains more info on the travels of camera 394 in Antarctica. The message is below. "Hi Terri - Just wanted to let you know that the camera came with me to McMurdo, I took it with me to Bowden Neve to the site of last year's "Central Transantarctic Mountains camp" = site of former Beardmore Camp. I then sent it along with someone going to South Pole, who is then passing it on to someone going to New Zealand. I took photo #33 at Bowden Neve, so hopefully it will return to the project soon......."
