  I left the camera today with my editor Laura from LA Youth. She is moving to New York and I thought it be great for her to take it with her. When I gave it to her she told me she is going to get to New York in a road trip. Exciting this is my first camera and I can't think of anyone else better than her to start this project with. It truly is an adventure. I'll see what happens when the images return. And the great sights we'll see, when the camera returns home.

  One of my student writers gave me this camera at my going away party. I'm leaving L.A.; headed to NYC. It felt like the perfect parting gift. I'm looking forward to using it to document part of my transition.
