Handed over in Bali
I've just passed on the second of Jon's cameras to my housemate Zev. He's working up in rural West Bali for the next few days, so there should be some good pictures from up there. He's also a bit of a jetsetter, with an itinerary taking in Kuala Lumpur, London, Barcelona (his current home) over the next fortnight, plus he's mentioned a couple of trips to the states and the Czech republic over the coming months. Should be a good one. I've attached a shot of Zev receiving his new camera.

Travelled to Kuala Lumpur
Camera 186 has left Bali with me. Sadly, a strike prevented me from traveling to West Bali as scheduled, so the only shot I could take there was of the waves from the airport departure lounge. Now, Camera 186 and I are in Kuala Lumpur, where I'll try to take a few shots before either passing it on or bringing it home with me to Barcelona.
Handed over again in Barcelona, and now on its way to Vancouver.
I was doing a crap job of taking photographs, so when I went to Barcelona, I dropped Camera 186 off with my friend Erin, who is heading on a tour of scenic Vancouver Island, Canada. I'm in New England, USA, hoping to stop by a dollar store and pick up some disposable cameras to start new projects soon.
Taken to London with Erin, and then handed over to Matthias.
I passed on camera 186 at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London to my high school classmate Matthias. Can't wait to hear where it goes next!
Taken from London to the Ivanhoe Beacon by Matthias.
I was given camera 186 by my old friend Erin in the courtyard of London's Victoria and Albert Museum. I used to release books into the wild (<a href="http://www.bookcrossing.com">www.bookcrossing.com</a>), so I love the idea behind the disposable memory project. Camera 186 accompanied me on a walk on the Ridgeway (England) with 36 others yesterday and I passed it on to my school friend Carolin on top of Ivanhoe Beacon.
Taken to Bournemouth with Carolin, and then passed on to Anika.
I spent the last bank holiday weekend with my old school friend Matthias who lives in London. After he had given me camera 186 on our walk on 29 August 2009, I took it home with me to Bournemouth. There it spent a few days in my wardrobe, resting. On 05 September 2009 Camera 186 made its way to Bournemouth beach and Boscombe Pier, where I passed it on to my work colleague Anika. Anika is due to fly to Germany soon. Maybe she'll take camera 186 with her...?
Received in Kassel-Calden, Germany and handed over again.
I have received camera 186 from my colleague and friend Carolin. On 20.09.09 I took a picture in Kassel/Calden in Germany and then passed it on to my brother Arne (see photo).
Found in Kassel, and passed on to a friend going to Frankfurt.
I recieved camera #186 from my sister, sadly me and my roommates were moving to another flat, so it stayed in a box for quite a time. Having recovered it, I took a picture in a forest near Kassel, an passed it on to my friend Fici when being to Frankfurt for the weekend. Later that evening he passed it on to our friend Phil, who lives in Cologne
Taken to Frankfurt, and then passed on to Phil going to Cologne
Travelled on to Cologne with Phil.
I was given camera 186 in Frankfurt by my old friend Arne, but at first passed it on to our friend Fici, who took a picture of us with Balkan punk band Kultur Shock, who happened to be visiting Frankfurt (they were awesome). Fici handed the camera back to me and I took it to Cologne. In Cologne, I tried NOT to take the standard picture of the cathedral, but rather have the cathedral as a backdrop for the shoddy tram I was riding in. Let's see how that worked; the flash came on unintentionally. My intention to take only a single picture went when, serendipitously, a students' demonstration passed by my office on the same day. Several thousand students demonstrated in Cologne against having to pay fees for education and the persistent inequalities in the German education system (one of the slogans reads "rich parents for all"), as well as against the screwed-up implementation of the Bologna Process. I then passed camera 186 to my friend Paul, who lives in Paris. For all I know, the camera may be on its way to Africa now.
