    · found · Bubble Gum Alley, San Luis Obispo, California, USA

Camera 59 was found 4/28/09 in San Luis Obispo, CA by my Housemate Brant. Some photos were taken at an intermural softball game @ Cal Poly SLO. Our House, a co-operative named "The Establishment", has our own team. We are by far the least talented softball players in the league, but what we lack in talent we make up for in heckling! Today the Camera will be placed in Bubble Gum Alley. DING!

  • So, it turns out, the "Jeff C." that found the camera #59 is Jeff Claassen, who owns a little art gallery around the corner, and who was recently voted "Best Artist in SLO County" in New Times' recent Readers Poll. When I saw the posting that the camera had been found by "Jeff C.", I walked over to his shop and asked, "Hey Jeff - did you by any chance find a SpongeBob camera in Bubble Gum Alley?" and he give me a sly smile-- "Yeah... How'd you know?" San Luis is a very small town... :)

  • Sweet, it finally came home! Why no pictures of Bubble Gum Alley?! Anyway, the pictures at the end, of The ARTery building, those were actually the first ones taken. That is Matt and Kristen (Blaze'n'Foote) with the owners of The ARTery, Bill and Bobbi. Then the one of the road with greenery in the background, that's coming down "the grade" from Atascadero back to San Luis Obispo...
  • I think the image of the shoes on the grass is maybe my favourite yet.
  • Cool to see Linneas cafe in there! Used to hang out all the time on that patio while at Cal Poly.
